| 7.62X54R
AIM has 250 round can of 7.62X54R Bulgarian ammo for $39.95. That's about $3 for 20rds. I assume this corrossive but if it's good ammo that seems like a bargain to me. Any comments? TIA Hope my guzintu is correct. Last edited by BOHICA1962; 05-21-2008 at 12:35 PM. |

| Resident Armed Liberal ![]() | Bulgarian is good ammo. Is it heavy ball or light ball? J&G Sales in Prescott, AZ was selling the light ball in 300-round cans for about the same price a month or two ago; you might look them up and see what they have right now.

Troy I think it's heavy ball. I'll check out J&G. Thanks.

Bohica, it's 180 grain heavy ball in brass cases. Shoots nice, too; Natasha likes it. Haven't had a chance to try it in my Tula 91/30 or the Izzy 1943 M38, but I already know I'm going to order more next week. I'm just debating whether to get 300 rounds(1 can) or 600 rounds (2 cans).

NRAJOE: Sir; I just ordered 1000rds and am disappointed to see you did $79.99 for 880rds. ![]() Sir; where did you order from? I checked everywhere that I knew about. Thanks, Craig Sorry; I half read your post

| You can buy it for that as well, Swede! Just don't count the 60 bucks in freight charges.

| More accurately, the shipping is included in the price of the ammo. You pay more than you would for the ammo, but shipping is included.

| Ammoman has 7.62X 54R for $89 for 200 rds. His website claims that it's non corrosive. I checked with my local dealer yesterday and he sells the Bulgarian 7.62X54R for $4 per box of 20. By the time he pays the freight he's not getting rich on ammo........or guns. He operates his store as a hobby........so he can get away from all the Honeydos since he's retired. |
