REMOVE and DO NOT USE the rearmost elevation screw (the one that toutches the front part of the breech). It is there for mounting on 91/30's (which incidentally have a nice barrel-cut mounting rail hiding under the rear mount assembly, so you really don't need the cheapo rear sight mount). I also cut the mount to fit the length I needed for the scope, so there is no overhang. I have used the cheapo system for a couple of years, on Camo Natalia, and it works fine. It does require rezeroing occasionally, but nothing major.  I kluged together a 7.62 x 54R cartridge based laser bore sight and it's quick and easy.
