Not if you use a scout mount and LER scope.

I am hoping to put a good scope on at some point probably a 4 or 6x. I was looking at a PSOP but I have heard things that a scope lower to the barrel would give me better "cheek weld" I haven't heard that word before but I think I understand what it implies. I still would like to add a Russian scope, preferably a military one. I finally bought the rifle today I went with the Hex reciever from 1934, I also bought a whole bunch of stuff to clean it with.

Mount a laser on the thing and look through a pair of flip down Binoculars (night vision/infrared if possible). Problem solved. ![]()

I am happy with the progress I am making cleaning it. I found a good article and have dissassembled the rifle and sprayed the metal parts with a solvent to remove the cosmoline. I let the cosmoline dry and then rub the piece down with a rag to get everything off. I have seen some rust spot which I will try to rub of with some fine steel wool. Its going smoother than I thought, seeing as this is the first gun I have every taken apart and I don't work with cars or bikes either. Thanks for the Congratulations and all the advice from everyone.
