| That is NOT a fair question! I have not seen them all yet! I would like to say that I have a deep itch to pick up a m91 from the early 1900s with all the artistic writing on it.

| I would say M39 Finn because of the beautiful tiger stripe and leopard spot stocks they have on them but for overall best gun (mayb just a bonding thing) but my first mosin '40 91/30 is the most accurate mosin and most durable one i have shot or owned in my years

| Bullet Maintenance !! ![]() | I wasn't specific enough. What I meant was the stampings on the barrel. Like these: Mosin Nagant Rifle Guide to Proofs and Markings

| My nicest is a 1953 Polish M-44. It is in new condition including wood. I would say that it has not been fired as the metal shows no wear on any internal component.

| Sestroryetsk M91 is good, but I like the Tula Peter the Great M91. |

| I'm voting for the Peter The Great as well. Now I need to find one for $89.95...

| Senior Member | That's okay. Ran across a beautiful laminated 91/30 at Cinco Grande yesterday. They only wanted $209 for it! But! The markings are totally ground off, except for the Ishevsk triangle and arrow. WTH? The gun is in beautiful condition, straight from CAI, except: It seems to have been polyurethaned! There is even poly over the cosmolene on the sling-mount escutcheons! Again, WTH? The gun is blue-black 100% except for the bolt, the stock is gorgeous, but the markings are ground off and somebody put on poly! I told the clerk I wouldn't give more than $99 for it - and he agreed it is way, way overpriced. But, of course, they wouldn't lower the price, either. Oh, well... Wait until I get my M91 back! Then I'll get a chance to do things my way...

| Sestroryetsk Imperial M91 and the Tula "Peter the Great" Imperial M91 are my favorite.
