since this post is about 91/30's, i'll assume you mean the s&k for that rifle. some love'em some hate'em. the way i look at it, the more than can go wrong, the more that will. a direct mount will always be my first choice.

Yeah, I mean the mounts from S&K that mount directly on the rear sight mount of the Mosin. Or any other common surplus rifle for that matter. No permanent changes that I can see. The guy that sold me my K31 had one on his and pointed me to the website.
