gandog, WHERE did you find that buttpad? Please post a link or store info!

Never mind. After fiddling with the search string three times, I found a location that offers them. They say they are out of stock at the moment, but they are taking orders. For $15 plus S&H, you can solve your recoil problem without having to alter the rifle:

Has anyone tried to start a support group where you only have to show up clean and have money for coffee to attend, and all of your past sins will be forgiven as long as you stay straight and don't even think of threading Mosen barrels again? In the meantime I highly reccomend that all pay membership at G&G and receive the profesional advice available here.(no advice from me as I am one of those rabble-rousers that believes if you own it you can thread it)(I do forbid possibly trying to thread your neighbors Mosen)Outside of this I can only sugest attending the gun stores, pawnshops and gun shows where you can get real professional help and care.(if you have stashed a little cash your lord and master doesnt know about. sam.
