Tactical Mosin

This is stupid, but i was wondering today, after watching my neighbors lay there quietly, ( I live next door to a cemetary) , how would I carry my M44 tactically without resorting to buying a bunch of WWII surplus or repro Russian gear? Especially ammo, as the last can I bought didn't come with strippers!

Anny body given this a try on the forum?

I just use the ammo pouches that come with the rifle. I did invest in some cheap charchers that work well enough after tweaking.

Buy some stripper clips. Pack em up. Put them in a bugg out bag. carry it. and hope you don't have to go cqc.

Maybe buy a more tactical rifle i.e. SKS, or AK47?

i've got enough strippers that work and enough ammo pouches to hold at least 300 rounds at a time. looks kinda cool on extra slings crossed over my chest.

Ive got 10 stripper clips, so 50 rounds, and enough room to haul in my current SHTF loadout. but it definitley would not be my go to system. Tactically it's more of a medium/long range scout/support function. If I were you I 'd get another rifle for that function. If your concerned about the neighbors, I'd get some landmines maybe some claymores. or move.

Are you also riding your horse, and using the word Gringo?

7.62 x 54R isn't exactly a light tactical round, but that's what the bayonett is for...

Maybe it's just me, but every time I hear the words "tactical" and "Mosin" in the same sentence, I cringe a little.

300 rounds? I can't keep hold of 300 rounds a one time, I go shooting every weekend to relieve school stress and I burn through ammo WAY too quickly.

It remains a mystery how they reloaded so fast given the ammo they carried individually...

Problem is... I'm usually the one hopped up on sausage and sauerkraut...

And my problem is usually unloading in record time... Out behind some rocks...

Good point. These guys (under Pancho Villa and some under Emilio Zapata) whooped Sherman's ass, and he had a whole army and tanks and airplanes behind him.

Kinda ridiculous.
