my new to me m44!

ok so its not really new to me since i had it for about a year now.(bought frome gander mountain) but i just joined the forum and figured i would ask a question.

its a 1944 dated m44, shiny bore, exellent shooter!
i dont have any pics yet but i will soon
my reciever seems like it has alot of markings on it compared to my friends mosin. oh and my serial number starts with PA, but the A
here is it but mine looks more rounded off at the top and at the botttom of it looks like this [...but sideways ofcourse. in russian the PA transfers to RD, what does this mean? ive heard about the ones marked E but never knew why it mattered. thanks alot any info is appreciated
