MoSiNiTis Challenge JULY 2009

Those dastardly Nazi vermin have unleashed their super top secret weapon on the hard pressed Soviet troops. The dead corpses of SS soldiers are being raised from the dead and now battle on as rotting momstrosities that are near immune to physical and chemical attack. The only known way to put one of these undead Hitlerites is with a well placed 7.62x54R to the head. More particularly, to the brain!

You have been tasked to sneak to within 100 yards of the current zombie HQ and put a few rounds through the heads of every rotting officer you can see.

Classes: Sniper (Scoped or Mojo), Sharp Shooter (Original issue sights)
Position: Prone or bench. 100 yards.
Equipment: Mosin Nagant. Mosin issue sling. Front sandbags may be used. No rear bags. Spotting scopes are allowed.
Procedure: Engage the target with 10 rounds. Scores are as indicated on the target. Scores that impact the dotted lines SCORE AS IF THEY WERE FULLY WITHIN THE LOWER SCORE ZONE!!

You may shoot up to FOUR targets (10 rounds each) and submit the highest scoring target. You may "warm up" as much as you wish on any other target than the one used in this contest. You may submit multiple rifles in each class.

NOTE: If your range does not allow "human" targets point out that a) It is a Nazi, and b) it is a freakin Zombie Nazi!!!! However, if requested I can provide a boring block version of the target with the zombie removed.

Happy Hunting!

P.S. If any of you happy scoped snipers want to play at 200yds let me know and we can throw a 200 yard class into the mix.

Target attached as .pdf

If you are not used to pdfs you require the following information. You will need adobe reader to open it. When you print it select under "Page Scaling" options either "Fit to Printer Margins" or "None". None is best as fit to printer will shrink this target a teensy weensy bit.
Attached Files
File Type: pdf MosinitisJuly2009.pdf (44.2 KB, 288 views)

lol no its really simple...

1. open the liink he has

2. Print it out the way he tells you to, but seems like it wont really matter (print out 4 copies)

3. put target at 100 yards

4. fire ten rounds of 7.62X54r out of a mosin nagant of any model

5. Shoot 4 targers each target with 10 rounds of 54r

6. pick the best out of the 4 and post it here with a pic of the gun

ohh and happy shooting, i will be glad to do this!

my 91/30 is a tack driver!

Please note that you do not have to shoot 4 targets if you are concerned about ammo usage. I just wanted to give folks a chance on multiple targets if they wanted to. You also do not have to shoot all 4 chances on a single range trip.

BRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIINSSSS!

Sweet! Just got back from loading 120 rounds in preperation. Scoped then irons on the 91/30, and irons on the M44. Just need a day off now to get out there and shoot 'em!

Me and the kid play the zombie level on that World at War game all the time, so I have a great deal of practice shooting Nazi zombies. My girlfriend swore all our training was pointless, but seems she was just proven wrong now eh?

lol me and my friend play that alot on the 360 when were not realoading or shooting, im 16 only got 3 mosins tho a m44 in mint condition mirror bore, ,m38 and m91/30...i used to be into mosins alot! had mosinitis real bad because i was accupied with my AK's, ar-15, beretta 92fs, and me newly purchased savage 111 30-06 which shots 1/4 MOA all day long. I would be really cheating if i have used that lol

back on topic, i will be glad to participate in this and i might catch the bug again (still love mosins, just something about them)

Well, if I can get the windage on my K31 adjusted I will give it a go with that and give you a bit of international competition. While Stalin will never throw a parade for a non-Soviet, it is the world's duty to battle fascism!

Especially undead fascism.

If you wanna shoot it at half a click you can make it purple w/ polka dots.
