Mossberg 935 - shoting 2 3/4" shells

I know the manuel says to not shot 2 3/4" shells but does anyone shot them anyways? Do they cycle ok if you use a highbrass 1 1/4oz. load? I really want to buy one of these guns but concerned about not shoting small shells, I wont be able to dove hunt if not.

if i was going to buy a shotgun for all around even turkey hunting it wouldnt be an auto.you just cant get a auto to cycle 2-3/4 shells right if it is made for a 3-1/2 and the 3-1/2 pump wont shoot out like a pump.but that is just my experience on this.

I bought a 935 for my son for x-mas and two Sundays ago was the first time we were able to go out and shoot. Well, we got the first 3 2 3/4 rounds through her without a glitch, but when we went to reload it, a pin had fallen out of the gun which stopped our shooting. Just today I brought it to gun smith to see what is going on.
