Have you removed the plug from the magazine tube? It is a wooden dowel that limits the magazine to two rounds + one in the chamber=three rounds total; per various state and federal regs limiting ammo capacity... Without the plug, I can keep six rounds in my Moss'y 500: five in the mag. + one in the chamber.
If you have not removed the plug then remove the barrel, point the magazine straight down and give it a gentle jiggle (my plug falls right out about then...). If the plug is reticent and won't cooperate, then remove the magazine; the plug will be inside the follower spring.
I don't know of any add-ons or modifications for more capacity but others might.

The OldTimer beat me to it. He is right on. Thats a fine gun ya have there. I have one of those also. Just remember,if ya take her out hunting, stick that plug back in, ya don't wana get caught with it out while hunting..... its a good hefty fine in PA
If you remove the plug it will hold 5 + 1 totaling 6, instead of 3 + 1 totaling 4. Removing the plug will gain you 2 more 3" shells. Not sure on the 2 3/4" shells. If you take it out, don't loose it. If you ever hunt with it, it has to have the plug in it in some states as some only allow 3 max in the gun. So better safe then sorry.

The regulation is a Federal one if you are hunting migratory birds;
From Federal regulaions
It is illegal to hunt migratory birds
(b) With a shotgun of any description capable of holding more than
three shells, unless it is plugged with a one-piece filler, incapable of
removal without disassembling the gun, so its total capacity does not
exceed three shells. This restriction does not apply during a light-
goose-only season (lesser snow and Ross' geese) when all other waterfowl
and crane hunting seasons, excluding falconry, are closed while hunting
light geese in Central and Mississippi Flyway portions of Alabama,
Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky,
Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana,
Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota,
Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
Most states have no limit for non-migratory birds or small game. Some may, its best to check local laws.
Extentions are available to increase capacity up to 8.
I agree with the other posters but do want you to realize a home invasion is an event with absolutely minimal response time. You are not likely to have time to think about putting out a volume of firepower. A robbery is not far behind a home invasion in terms of response time.
You should practice, practice, and practice until your arms ache as you develop the ability to become the aggressor and place the one, or perhaps two, shots you will get on target.
You can also join the military,(preferably Marines or Army) and they will issue you a weapon with high capacity mags and place you with literally thousands of fellow personel that are equally armed and trained to protect all government property,(which you will be)(whoops, maybe that isn't all that good. They might send you to some far off land that you really don't give a sh*t for and get you shot at)Oh well,it still might be safer than it is here when "Beloved Leader" takes our firearms. ,,,sam.
They also make these mini shot/slug shells that are made for urban areas to keep from going to far [thru too much]. My main concern is will they function in your gun? Neat idea, but do they really work, they are 1.5/1.625" long I think, almost doubling your count. The slugs are 1200FPS rounds. Gary
