| Mossberg 590A1
I'm pretty set in stone that this is the shotgun I wish to buy. I was just wondering what others on this forum think of it..

I've got a Moss 500A and a Win 1300. I personally like the cross bolt safety on the Win 1300 versus the top of the receiver safety of the Mossberg. But, it's basically whatever you get used to. The Mossberg is a fine shotgun. Others will chime in that you need to get a Remington 870 for the all steel receiver, but, you're not going to wear out the aluminum receiver of the Mossberg, plus, it's much lighter and carry friendly for the woods. Edit: Plus side, lots of accessories for it since its a very popular gun. Minus, if you want to get a magazine extension, you have to get another barrel to accommodate it due to the way the barrel attaches. Last edited by tappedandtagged; 09-28-2009 at 10:43 PM. |

| Front Grip
I've been trying to search for a front grip that'll work with the Mossberg 590a1, no luck. Is it possible to put a front grip on this shotgun?

| Well,
if you mean the Mossberg product it is a very well established gun with a long record of success in civilian, police, and military applications. If you take care of the gun it will most likely outlast your lifespan. If you mean this particular "style" it is really only up to you to decide if this is what works for you. Mossberg, as you most likely know, produces an almost mind numbing number of styles. So, there is something for just about any of us. Best wishes. |
