Cool 410 Muzzle Loader Help

I have a 410 Muzzle loader that for all the searching I have done I cannot find a load for. I was told that I should try 1/2 Oz shot in a mesure and then the same mesure in black powder. What size of shot they all have a difrent volume? Witch powder first of all? It is a cap witch cap? To say the least a sugestion of limited value. All I can say is it is a modern made muzzle loader from Italy. Does anny one know of a muzzle loader manual with loads for a 410.:drink:

1/2 ounce of shot such as #6,7-1/2. ,8,9, BB,,2,4,Etc. will be fine, or 3 balls of 00 buckshot, or 1-410 slug, and the normal load is 60 grains of ffg Black powder.
A heavy Max load will be 70 grains of FFG Black powder. and Increase the shot to 11/16 oz. for a hunting"field" load.

fffg powder is for pistols
ffg is for rifles and shotguns
Fg is for cannons
USE an ACCURATE SCALE FOR EACH !!!
Weigh out your shot and charges carefully ahead of time, I use small flip top plastic canisters made for holding the powder charges .
As far as caps, probably #10 or 11, which ever one fits snug on the nipple.

I have been shooting Black powder since 1975,competition and Hunting, as well as Cannon ! My info is Based on experience from experimenting with different calibers and loads, But a Very good resource is the book" The Ultimate guide to Black powder hunting" by Al Raychard which is available from MIDWAY USA for 23.99 ( order #142-036) or go to a Larger Gunstore(here we have Sportsman's warehouse) that has Black Powder supplies and Books and see what is available.

Free Tip...Buy a torch tip cleaner set from a welding supply house for a couple bucks to keep your nipple hole clean,That is where most misfires occur.

I'm just south of the auroral Zone so I get Some Awesome Lights in every color known ! I still have My first .45 Muzzleloader I bought to hunt Deer and Hogs with in Florida in 1975, It has won some matches for me as well at fur rondevous up here. I also have a 43mm Cannon that shoots 1 lb. Halibut fishing cannonballs too. I love making Smoke!
