| Black powder or substitue Which black powder is the strongest. guess i should say which burns the quickest or the fastest. Or simply which brand provides the most speed behind any bullet. Ive tried pyrodex but i was wondering if there was anything better |

| There is no "Strongest Black Powder" It all burns the same rate...Instantaneous.Just different granule sizes for different applications... Pyrodex is just a bit cleaner than Black powder ! Rich

| Triple Seven by Hodgdon is a tad more powerful by volume - you load it 10% less than for real BP or Pyrodex. Really wakes up my Pietta .44 revolver! Burns super clean - I did a torture test with my oldest .44 revolver - a barely functional seventies-production Pietta 1851 navy. Left it for six months AFTER shooting - NO cleaning. And this in humid Florida! No corrosion, just some grey powder residue. The gun cleans quickly and easily after a shooting session. I'm a believer!

| Triple Seven gets my vote for minimal residue buildup. Also, I can't say enough about the VARI-FLAME PRIMER ADAPTERS. Using CCI 4BR PRIMERS flashhole buildup reduced by 75%. |

| Oh yeah, Triple Seven has no sulfer. My son in law shot with me a few weeks ago and I became convinced about 777, When he came back in the house to prep for the next shot, my living room became filled with the awful sulfer smell. Needless to say, my wife was not happy.
