Barrel Reduction

SO by tomorrow i should have a Green Mountain .32 13/16" 42" barrel on the way and i have a few options open to me as i go to bed this beauty in what will soon be a new squirrel rifle. My question is, am i gonna be stuck with all 42" as that's a bit excessive for my plans, or should i be able to cut back a few inches, recrown with an abrasive dremmel bit turned by hand, and finish off any rough edges without seriously harming accuracy?

I do not know about BP and muzzle loaders but if you cut it you must make sure it is square and even and the rifling ends correctly. Unless you have the proper tools and exprience then it is a gunsmith job.
For smokeless a shorter barrel will not make too much difference but not sure about BP muzzle loader.
