muzzle velocity

Ok i have a question

i dont have a cronagraph and i was wondering what the muzzle volicity is on my CVA wolf 50cal shooting 295gr arrow tip bullets and 100gr of pyordex pellets in the barrel. the barrel is 1 in 28 and im useing the remington 209 primers

Don't have much to go on,but from similar loads I have chronied I would say about 1500fps. ,,,sam.

I would guess 1500 would be tops, probably less. I chrono'ed a 250 grn SST with 120 grns of B209 out of a 26" Knight & got a steady 1950fps. My partner was approx 300 fps slower with 120grns of Shockey's Gold.

O.K., I went to get my Hodgdon 'Basic M-L Manual'. It lists 2 50 grn Pyro pellets, 100grn total & a 295grn Powerbelt bullet at 1555 fps. There is no mention of barrel length. I find actual speeds are almost always less than those listed.
