1911A1 EMP - 9mm 40 or 45?

I like what I hear about this weapon. I've been introduced to shotgunning (upland hunting) by my son-in-law and will be new to citizen carry, but I'm experienced with the government .45 from years back in the service. Is the EMP a good choice? And which caliber?

The EMP is a very very fine machine. It's been known to give groups that are all touching each other from 25-yards, off hand. As much as I despise the caliber, I'd probably get it in 9mm, since that would give the highest velocity out of an already shortened barrel, plus more rounds to be fired from a weapon that might not be as accurate as a full size 1911..although it is very accurate for its size.

Ah, the eternal debate; 9mm or .45
All depends on what you are shooting, paper or people.

I just purchased a EMP and have to tell you it is the nicest 9mm I have ever fired or owned.. It's feel is unbelievable, like they intended..Not a scaled down full size 1911 chambered for a 9mm, but instead a ground up designed 1911 for a 9mm... It's performance has been outstanding and a real joy to shoot..

I recently purchased a Kimber Raptor II custom shop 45.. I enjoyed it so much that I went on the hunt for a 1911 style 9mm.. I found it in the EMP.. I sold a Sig p226 and a Sig p228..I found my favorite 9mm
