whats difference between j,k,l,frame revolvers?...

Ask that on the S&W forum and you'll get all kinds of tech spec answers. But from me it's frame size. j small, k next size up, L kind of a medium large and so on. The J's are most usually the little snubbies you see and they go up from there.

| These codes are used by Smith & Wesson. I'll try to complete the list: J-Frame: Small frame pocket snub-nosed 5-shot revolvers. 2” barrels common. K-Frame: Medium Frame service revolvers. Were popular with police. L-Frame: Medium-Large service revolvers. Excellent for service competition. N-Frame: Hunting and best for heaviest calibers and long barrels.
