Butler Creek flip-up lens cover question

I was wondering if anyone knew the right Butler Creek flip up eyepiece # for a Leupold VXIII standard eyepiece.
I really want the Leupold Alumina, but they are all backordered. I need something in the meantime until my Alumina is shipped.

It would be nice to know what exactly is the MM size of your standard Leupold ocular lens.

I'm not sure about the Leupold but I know I put Butler Creeks on my Burris.

The shop, Sportsman's Warehouse, had the very same scope and they fitted it for me BUT when I got home the objective lens cover was extremely loose (the eye piece lens fit very well).

I had to take it back and try it again. A little better but still slightly loose.

The third time was the charm.

So, I'm not sure if there are expected size deviations or if the first two I got were placed back in wrong containers and hung back on the rack.

Also scope lens are in MM and the scope covers are in inches.

That's a little confusing and none of the counter people could convert MM to inches for me.

You didn't say where you intended to get yours from but if it's mail order or internet order the company might have a referrence chart with your scope on it.

If not through mail order or internet can you take the scope or the scope on the gun in to them and let them fit it?

If I remember correctly (highly unlikely), the Cabela's master catalog has a sizing chart for them. You might try their website. www.cabelas.com
