Bushnell scope trouble........

I just took my model 60 with a Bushnell Trophy scope out to check the zero for squirrel season on Wed. It did not even hit the paper from 30 yards. I adjusted the scope as far right as the knob would go and it is still 4 inches left at 30 yards. I took off the bushnell threw on my emergency simmons blazer and knocked the center out. Could the rings be the cause. Should I try a better set of rings and start over with the Bushnell. ANY SUGGESTIONS.

Try reinstalling the Bushnell and see where it shoots from a rest. If it still shoots way off, try loosening the rngs and rotate the scope 90 deg. counter-clockwise, ie: windage turret on top. Reshoot and see if you can adjust for windage using the elevation knob. If you can center the group this time but can't go low or high enough to center, the scope is junk. If it still seems hinkey, try swapping and\or flipping the front and rear rings. I'm assuming it's a Weaver-style mount without the windage adjustments built into the mount.

if another scope was centered, its not the rings. cheap scope is the problem.

holmzee I had 2. 3X9 40mm mid range priced Bushnell scopes that worked pretty good for a couple years then they did what yours did.
I ended up giveing them to the kids to play with...A.H

I've been using a Nikon Prostaff for a couple of years now. I've used it on a .270Win. and 30-06Spring. and both calibers on both guns have held zero perfectly.
