| Senior Member | I have a simmons 4x (can not remember for the life of me what model) Its on my model 6o marlin, i had this scope on a rws pellet rifle, the zero started to drift, it would hold a good 5 shot group, and then it would change by 2 or 3 inches, i checked rings and mount, all fine, so i decided to see if it could possibly be the gun, i mounted it on my mod 60 (a tack driver, at 25 yards i can take the staples out of a target....really) so after i put the scope on it....same problem! so now i need to send this scope back, problem is i have no paper work on it, it has been on my rws for like 5 years or so, this scope was not dropped or bumped, so i don't know what its deal is, but i guess i need a new one.... so where in the world do i send it? do i need to call them, or just send it with a letter explaining the problem? usually i would send it through a retailer, but i can't even remember where i got it. |

| Senior Member | Agreed. Air guns tend to have a back and forth recoil that many scopes can't handle. I've seen many people get upset about this on various boards. "Thar ain't no way, no how a little ol' BB gun gonna break ma 30 dollar scope from Wal-mart". :eek"

| Member | it has become my recent bad experience that simmons has become a poor example of warenty honoring co. i have shot out a few simmons scopes on a ruger 77 skeloton stock and up till recently never had a problem with warenty repair or replacement but then they refused warenty to repair with out a receipt, who keeps receipts for something like that two years? i asked if i could get credit towards an up grade for the a-teck again not with out the receipt i realy liked the 44mm obj allowing low rings with larger obj. but no more simmons scopes for me my two cents |

| Senior Member | well, now that i think about it i have two that need to go back... i have an aetec that came off my 7mm mag that will no longer adjust,I looked at their customer service page and it states that you need a bill of sales. I think i am going to contact a friend of mine who has a gun shop that carries these and see if he can give me a bill of sales to use, he carries them, and i really can't remember if it is him that i got them from in the first place. kind of a pain, who really keeps these things? Why put a lifetime warranty on something if your not really prepared to honor it? i mean if its clearly a product of theirs and its broke, with no physical damage, it should be covered regardless. |

| Senior Member | ok, so i called simmons, what a joke, these jerks! what a pain. no warranty work on scopes without a reciept. so i have been calling around to some dealers i know in hopes that i could get a dealer exchange. What is the point of a lifetime warranty, if they dont intend to honour it? |
