| Do you want traditional cross hairs or a red dot? A red dot will give you faster target acquisition. How much you have or wanting to spend?

| I had a simmons 2x-6x-32 scope on my Ruger NMBH 41 Mag but could not get used to it so I swapped it out for a Bushnell Trophy Red Dot which works great for hogs in close cover. |

| O. k. I know the scope I want to mount on my revolver, what I don't know is if I want high, medium or low rings. Might someone please enlighten me as to what is the diffrence between the three choices so that I might make an informed and intelligent decision. ![]() |

| The ideal is to mount the scope as low as possible without it touching the barrel. It all depends on the objective size of the scope and tthe make up of the gun. If you are going to have a gunshop mount the scope, they will determine which rings work the best. If you are going to mount the scope, ask on here for ideas/suggestions. |

| O.k. friends Does anyone have any information on the quality of Montana Vintage Arms sights? Particularly their Soule mid-range and front globe sights. Everything I've read thus far indicates that they are top-o-the-line. |

| Senior Member | MVA Scope Cryille: they sure are cute I was looking at the 'tube types' The 'mid-range' are curious and I haven't shot anything with that "type"

| @billy: I use and sell NcStar glass, which is not a widely known brand but they used to manufacture for some large brands before they went on their own. This one is silver (similar model in black), 2-7x mag with 32mm objective and 1" tube. Comes with weaver rings. It's multi-coated, nitrogen purged, o-ring sealed, waterproof, shockproof, fogproof...all that. SavvyShooter.com: Shooting optics and accessories Hopefully it's not out-of-line or spammy to post a link since I am the store owner but I felt it was appropriate for the thread... Let me know what you think! |

| Burris does make good scopes. But I'd have to say that I like the Leupolds more though. Last edited by K.H.; 05-28-2008 at 03:19 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |
