red dot on 10/22 cross post

This is a cross post from Rger forum

Just bought a 10/22 and am debating putting a scope or red dot on it. My old eyes are not agreeing with the open sights.
I would like a fast target acquisition and fear that a scope will not give it to me.

Would anyone care to suggest a moderately priced red dot

Any suggestions either way would be appreciated

Have you ever tried Williams replacement peep sights?

If you like iron sights, these help the aging eyes, at least for me.
