Pentax Pioneer

I've just found a dealer that sells Pentax scopes. I have been looking at buying my old man a new scope for his old wincherster .308. Does anyone own a pentax pioneer? How do they handle and are they good value for money?

Thanks

Same here and would like to know more about them.
With all the scopes available why a Pentax ?
Is this a favored brand in Australia like Leuopold probably is in the U.S. ?

You would be supprised AH,the leupold is a favourite over here. All depends what you want to spend, just like in your country.Ive never seen pentax scopes. They make good cameras. The budget scopes here are tasco, nikko then bushnell, simmons up to mid range leupolds and kahles doctors swarovski and a few other very expensive scopes. There are others in amoungst that lot like meullers which ive heard are quite good.

Pentax, good question. I read an article in Sporting shooter and they raved about it saying it was a great scope especially for the money. But i wanted someone elses opinion before putting my money into one. I know they make very fine camera optics as my girlfriend is quite into photography but with regards to rifle scopes....i have no idea. So anyone reading this who has a pentax.....let me know what you think of them. I'm after something different, they come with a lifetime guarantee just like the leupold.

I own a Pentax "Whitetails Unlimited" which I feel is a fine scope. Here's some info for you about the "Gameseeker" models. Be sure to read the reviews.

MidwayUSA - Pentax Pioneer Scope 3-9x 40mm Penta-Plex Reticle Matte

MidwayUSA - Pentax Gameseeker Scope 1.5-6x 40mm Penta-Plex Reticle Matte

MidwayUSA - Pentax Gameseeker Scope 3-9x 40mm Penta-Plex Reticle Matte

Do you have Bushnell Elite 3200 scopes available there?
