Savage 93R17 Scope(s) Question Please ...

Forgive me as this topic/question may well have been covered numerous times (I did do a quick search, to no avail), but I'm hoping someone will guide me to a decent, "inexpensive" (tough-budget economy) scope for a Savage 93R17 (?).

I only need maybe 100-200 yard range (at the most - MAX) - will generally be shooting 20 -100 yards (varmints).

Thanks in advance ...

As I mentioned in my previous post if you are going to shoot from 20 to 100 yards you need to buy a rimfire scope with a low power and the parallax/focus is set for 50 yards, or an Adjustable Objective scope (better choice).

I would go with ron. I bought a 6-24x40mm scope for my 93R17 and it is excellent for the 100-200yd mark but only if it is on a table because it is a high power scope and it moves around a lot. I spent around $150 on it I think. I use it primarily for target shooting and I can hit bullsies at 150yds easily. I may hit a varmint if they are standing still.

Here's a scope I have found to be a good quality scope. I've not used this mil-dot version, but it might help with the ranges you've mentioned. It's also there in standard crosshair form as well. I suspect 9x should work well for what you're needing. Good Luck.

i have the same gun but my scope is a simmons 3-9x40, any of the scopes listed will be fine for your gun.
