Question Counter sniper scopes?

Im buying a steyer ssg 308 tactical elite and I want a bad ass scope. I dont want to go over 700 dollars so it has to be resonable. I have been looking at counter sniper scopes and they look to be of good quality. They also offer a warranty like leupold does with a no bs promise. Another bonus is that the scopes have "for USA sales only sales outside of USA are prohibited" etched on the scopes. That along with it saying counter sniper would look sweet on my soon to be aquired rifle. Counter snipers 55 mm lense is 700 compared with leuopolds 55mm lense which is 1400 dollars. So it has been suggested to me that I should go leuopold but I also think its only because people dont know about counter sniper. Has anyone here had any exspierience with Counter sniper products?

I been looking for a scope for a specialized use also,,,NightForce is the only one that makes what I want so far,,,,
But I'm still searching in hopes of not having to spend 1800 bucks. I did a search and asked around also,,,sounds like the CS scopes don't have much good in the way of reveiws. Most say that they have bad glare, and pos turrets.
I might buy the Konus M30 series, just to see what they are like. It's rather inexpensive, so I'm a little leary. But then it's not a major out lay of cash, and could resell it if I don't like it.
My other choice would be the Bushnell 6500. Next inline would be the Sightron.

I have a friend that has one of the counter sniper scopes, neither one of us was impressed with it. The glass is not nearly as good as some lower priced scopes. I'm with Onesonek, any of the bushnell elites or sightrons are better scopes than the counter sniper. Just my opinion.

Replyto the Counter Sniper Scopes

I have been a 1,000 yard benchrest competitive shooter for over 18 years. Sorry guys I have never and will never own a Leuopold anthing. I know people swear by them, but you can have them all. I own sveral Nightforce NXS, Schmidt @ Bender, Kahles, Swavorski, IOR and Zeiss. I too was skeptical about the counter sniper scopes, due to listening to various forums claiming theyre mde in china. Any body that knows a quality optic, knows when they are looking through true German quality glass and that's exactly what I found when I got my counter sniper scope. The only thing that takes some getting used to is the reticle being in the first focal plane. The scopes quality is excellent, the glass quality equals my prized scope costing me almost 6 times as much. I love it, the adjustments are audible and repeatable. shot the typical box and then cranked the piss out of the adjustments and did it again and it was dead ass on. I wrote the company and recieved a response from the CEO assuring me before the purchase. Try contacting the CEO of any of the companies I mentioned. I'm telling you, buy it don't think twice. Order it from Midway if you don't like it you can return it and please write me personally about your experience. Take it from someone who knows. I bought the 5-25X42 and got it for about 450.00 delivered and wish I would have never have wasted my money on the other high end scopes, they are all great but not 4 to 6 times as great. There is allot of crap out there like these scopes are made in China, well than China must be using german glass and coatings and come hell of a long ways. I dont work for the company and believe me money wasnt an issue as I was about to purchase another Schmidt and bender Police marksmen 2 to mount to my new rifle and seen this while ordering a Jewel trigger and shilen barrel from Midway USA. I was to set an actual value on the scope what I really think it should sell for, it would easily be in the 1400.00 to 1800.00 range. The guys that wern't impressed not sure what your used to looking through, but being a former Military sniper and having to use the L word scopes and then thank god I got a U.S. Optics, take any leuopold side by side with that scope and check out the light gathering and the crisp glass of the counter sniper. I'm in no way putting down your opinion, because thank god we live in a world where everyone is intitled to one, this is mine.
