Sweets 762

I`ve never got the bore in my rifles clean, till I used this stuff. It`s just awesome.

As its just the beginning of spring here, all the white and purple flowers that make my life a living hell are blooming. I was slopping the sweets into my GP100 bore, when this solid whack of amonia hit my sinus`s, and I tell you I felt like a new man, what a wonder product.

I've been a proponent of the Sweets 7.62 for many years. I first used it whilke in school in Colorado. We used to go prairie dog shooting after school and we'd bring 3 rifles; usually a .22-250, a .223 and a .22LR. We brought 3 do to the volume of shooting we's shoot a maximum of 20 round in the centrefire rifles and then we'd clean with Hoppes and then Sweets. On a new rifle, properly broken in the good cleaning lead to NO layering of barrel junk. I've worked on several rifles that needed a proper cleaning. I've seen a lot of milsurp rifles that displayed "layered barel junk". The "cure" is to clean the bore with your favorite cleaner, followed up with a good cleaning with SWEETS. And then the next layer is cleaned with your favorite cleaner followed up with SWEETS....this is done
until both the fouling patches come out absolutely clean and the decuprization patches come out clean... You'll be surprised to see the layering and the accuracy improvements once cleaned.JMHO

Sweets is great for copper fouling. My favorite all-around cleaner is RB-17, it's a gel so you can scrub a bore and let it set for a while to loosen everything up. It's also good when used with 0000 steel wool for rust removal. The biggest drawback to it is availability as it's pretty difficult to find. Home Page
