for my glock

you have to know and be confident carrying a glock. it's the same overdone subject of "carry my glock chambered or not?" well i have used and carried a glock 21 and now a 21sf(slim frame) with a round cham, bered for instant use. i'll admitt i am not a bells and whistles guy so i have not eyed all the accessories that exsist. the clipdraw is something i came across a while back and like it and it fits in my holsterts too(when i want it holstered) obviously the clipdraw is for carrying non holstered. i think it works well (for me) the item that i have told people about whenever i can and think that it is a great item(accessorie) is the safe-t-blok. it really works well. it instantly becomes dislodged with no thin king about it.it stays put with an adjustment tension screw and like anything else , i had to practise until muscle memory took over. 7 bucks and for how safe it makes the "safe action system" on any glock ,it's worth alot more to me. i noticed i never see them mentioned in glock circles ,and wonder why. i trust myself , i did for years without one. this just makes things almost ad proof.i am not hesitant to say i use it off late.and i always will. i bought 3 of em.

clip draw

mike1014: Sir; where did you find the 'clip draw'
my G17-G22 are carried in leather with a snap.

Should you get this tonight; I'll be at a Gunshow tomorrow and take a look. I don't even know what to look for

Thanks

Here you go Neo,
CLIPDRAW...For Secure Carry Without a Holster
It does recommend not to be used with or while a round is chambered. That I beleive is more of a liability waiver then anything else. And the Clipdraw is reversible. I've had one on mine for about 5 years or so.

If you do use the Clipdraw and wish to carry it ready to fire, then also get one of these.
CCWSUPPLY
Of course you do not need to carry it with the pad lock on it. lmao That is done when in storage for the night or something.

I like the idea of the clip draw. It doesn't add extra bulk to the already bulky pistol as a IWB holster does. As for the safety block I am not so sure about. Anything abstructing the trigger could cause problems if you were put into a situation of having to deffend your self. When put into hi stress situations you tend to forget very little details and training. There have been cases where police officers have drawn their weapons for use of deadly force and could not fire because they had the safety engaged and the stress from the fire fight caused them to forget to disengage it. The safe action is one of the many things that had LEOs so interested in the Glock. It could be carried with one in the pipe like the 1911 style pistols but had the advantage of not having to disengage the safety.
I carried my Glock for several years with one in the chamber and didn't worry about an accidental discharge one bit. I have never heard of one doing so (not that it hasn't happend).

disappointed

Glockmiester: Thanks; disappointed though. In the waste band; I don't care for. I do like the idea, and at other times have crammed one waste banded. Uncomfortable.
Maybe I'll get one and mess about?
Thanks

It works in a pants pocket also Neo. When I where blue jeans, ones that have the watch pocket, I put the barrel in the pocket and the clipdraw in the watch pocket. The primary reason I even put the thing on my Glock was for when I'm at the range. The only one near me isn't well kept and I didn't like putting my gun in crud. I also wasn't comfortable when it was packed full of people and then having to put my stuff on the table and not having easy access to it while it was so crowded. It is an indoor range.

That was my initial reason for even getting it and it has worked well for that. Also, you do not need to have the barrel in your pants, I've just clipped it to my belt and left the barrel on the outside, works just fine. All in all, it's just a matter of personal preference.

I considered the Clipdraw with the Saf-T-Blok, but decided against it due to reading a couple accounts of the block simply coming out during normal day-to-day carry. (No, I don't have the links... I did a lot of research on it on my own about a year ago)

Instead I decided to go with the Blackhawk SERPA CQC holster (also comes slightly cheaper without the carbon fiber sticker: Here)for both Concealed Carry and Open Carry. It works well for both, even though it's an outside-the-waistband holster. I have very little issue with printing even with a very light overshirt.

I have the clipdraw on my Glock, for 5 or more years now, and have never had a problem, but, I've also heeded the warning about not using while having a round chambered. Don't have the Saf-T-Blok. Never got it to be honest for just the reason you stated JAC, figured it could easily just pop out. I also have a Fobus for it and the clipdraw doesn't interfere. As with anything, it's all a matter of opinion.

Wink

if you been glocking for years(almost since they hit the streets)and doing it chambered then a trigger blok popping out is gonna put me right where i was for such a long time anyhow. Got to tell you skeptics that this cheap little black block that i wedge behind my 21's trigger DOES NOT COME OUT. at least not for around two years now. It just don't. i don't lean against things with my gun as a bumper . i'm very aware of my carry gun at all times. If i had to wrestle with a bg or climb a structure or something ,well then who knows how tight it would stay but i'm confident of this little insurance policy behind my trigger. I hate to even think about it but If a bg ever got my carry away from me it(the blok) might buy me a second or two to move on him because he might not be able to instantly point and fire. IF MY AUNT HAD B***S SHE WOULD BE MY UNCLE. It's set screw is only snugged up so as to go in without any hard pressure against the backside of my trigger. I must have recieved a good one because it simply does what i had hoped it would. It goes along with a clipdraw iwb on all my slacks without a hitch. It works for me. I simply love my clipdraw and won't look back to bulky injection molded holsters and leather buldges. In the small of the back or at 3 oclock i have found my constant mode of carry long ago it seems. Just saying what works for me and i highly respect and understand all others opinions. My little blok has never loosened on me but i'm always watching for that first time. I don't plan on commenting about safe-t-bloks or clips anymore. Boooaaarrring
