Scope covers/protectors?

The local wallyworld has some butler creek flip top scope covers on sale. So far I only got one to fit for one scope, boo!. They also have some bikini scope covers as well. Does anyone have any experience with the flip tops and the bikini covers. Ive had some scopes scratched from just using the crappy covers they come with. ANy advice out there?

My preference is for the rubber bikini type. I'll use the others in a gun cabinet to keep dust off the lenses, but always switch to "bikinis" in the field.

Bikinis do the job. they add a little bump cushion. Clean them in Scuba suit shampoo.

I have a old Redfield 3x9 that has had BC flip ups on it for 25+ years and they are still working great.
