| Registered User | PKM info needed Im going to be making a replica PKM russian Machine gun. Ive found a website with about 1000 pictures, but not one can tell me the dimensions of this beast. I really need to know outer barrel thickness and receiver length. Thanks |

I'd find a bigger picture though, Which website did you visit? Anyway , pictures of individual parts here http://world.guns.ru/machine/mg07-e.htm and if the length of the barrel is 658mm, and the barrel is 340 pixels long, that means in that picture 1px is 1.9352941176470588235294117647059mm (1.93mm) so if the barrel, at its thinnest point (near the muzzle) is 12 pixels (best I could do from that picture, too much shadow), that is 23.22352941176470588235294117646mm (23.2mm) so for replica purposes 23-24mm is not a bad approximation | |
