You can always get a "no gunsmithing" mount for the Enfield.

So saying I've got one that I don't use. Tried it on one of my no.5's but still couldn't hit Jack Chit with it! Don't need a scope on the no. 4.

for the average shooter,' me being one of them' I would say rem, win sav.police bolt action are all good the 8mm mauser with a long eye relief scope would work just fine! I'm of the opinion that it's the riflemen that is in need of developing accuracy,not the rifle!
