Question Fr-8 .308

I had a chance to buy one of thease awile ago, like a dummy I did'nt and have been looking for one now for awile. They come (or you can get) a bayonet w/it. Did a bit of research on it It was the rifle that was replaced by the Spanish CETME .308, anybody got one? For the price back then $130.00 it was an o0k price now I saw one for $190.00.

Actually, the FR8 was used as a "Transition Rifle" to train the troops for the then-new CETME battle rifle. They were also used by border guard/police.
The CETME replaced the M43 Mauser in regular Army service.
I have all three rifles. Soon to have the M1916 Civil Guard rifle too. Spanish rifles are like Lays Potato Chips - can't have just one!

I paid $150 for one in ex.cond and turned around and sold it for $325...not a bad profit.

Cool looking rifle but didn't like the oddball sights or the recoil...to each his own.
