| Actually, the FR8 was used as a "Transition Rifle" to train the troops for the then-new CETME battle rifle. They were also used by border guard/police. The CETME replaced the M43 Mauser in regular Army service. I have all three rifles. Soon to have the M1916 Civil Guard rifle too. Spanish rifles are like Lays Potato Chips - can't have just one!
