K31 on the way

I called up SOG to order some 8mm Mauser ammo and asked if they had any 7.5 Swiss ammo on hand, as my buddy wanted some to slap on my order to save on shipping. Just like the last time I asked, they were out..

For grins and giggles, I asked if they had any K31's, since the last time I asked they were out of them too.. Yes was the answer.

So, I have a beach stocked K31 on the way.. I've shot my buddy's several times and found it to be a fantastic gun.. Kinda looking forward to getting my own, now..

You will absolutely love the rifle.

BTW...wait until you feel the non-military single stage trigger. It goes boom when you least expect it, lol.

That'll be a change..

I'm expecting the worst as far as stock condition. I figure I'll strip all metal off of it and toss it in the dishwasher, and then give it a nice reconditioning..

I also need to find some ammo.. SOG has guns, but no ammo..

impactguns has it for $229 for 440 rnds. i cant afford to shoot these guns which is a shame because i would buy one in a heartbeat if i could get affordable ammo. over $0.50 a rnd. in bulk is just too much for me.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as billy. I'd love to have one, but would rather shoot mosins for cheaper.

Thumbs up

C'mon guys...I have 1,000 rds of Swiss GP11 that I picked up for anywhere between $25/60 to the highest at $28.95/60.

Not super cheap but won't break the bank either...

These are awesome guns for the money...rifle and ammo is match grade!
K31's are precision guns.

I'm lucky enough to have 2 darn near pristine K31's (ask Jerry)
1 Walnut and 1 Beech....

I have a reply from the soldier who carried the Walnut....no reply from the guy who carried the Beech....history in my hands that can be traced to the original carriers is priceless.

Well, it arrived. Much better condition than I expected.. Typical wood beating around the butt, but other than that, in great shape. I'd put bluing at 95% or better.

Nobody's got ammo in stock, unless I'm buying the full blown expensive stuff.

I'll keep looking.

I bummed 10 rounds from a buddy yesterday.. Sweet shooting gun!!
