I ran across a stock screw that I can't get to loosen up to remove the buttstock on a Enfield 2A Ishadore 7.62 NATO. I've used Breakfree, WD40, Liquid Wrench, on both ends with no luck. I can't budge it. Any advice. I don't want to wreck the stock and any help would be appreciated. Thanks. ![]()

Assuming you mean the buttstock retaining bolt, is your screwdriver long enough to engage the bolt slot? One trick is to take a cheap (Target/Walmart/Whatever) loooooooooong screwdriver and remove the handle. The longer SMLE buttstocks require a 9" reach. Use channel locks to hold the screwdriver shaft at 90 degrees, clamp the receiver and unscrew.

Tried all that. I ordered some Kroil today, which is supposed to be the best stuff for loosening frozen bolts that several people have recommended to me.
