Finally Finished K-31

This is my latest K-31. I have been working on it for about a month on and off. When I got it the metal was in great shape, and the majority of the shop was in really good shape, but the top of the cheek rest was beat to hell and back.

It looked like someone had been using the gun to drive tent stakes.

I sanded it down and was able to keep the cheek rest shaped, and the gun turned out fantastic.

Yesterday I had a chance to shoot it alittle to make sure everything was functioning properly. I had a half empty beer can and put it out next to my 100 yard target. I put 4 rounds in the magazine and set up on my shooting bench which consist of 2 lawn chairs back to back "It sucks"

I fired the first three shots and the can didn't move an inch. I figured I was shooting high so I aimed at the bottom of the can to make sure I at least knocked it down. That shot apparently hit in the lower part of the can and blew it up in the air.

I went to go check the can and come to find out All four shots were on the can. The first 3 shots were above the liquid level but the 4th was alittle lower and blew it up. Nice group on a beer can.

I think this is about my most accurate K-31 from the little shooting i was able to do with it. This one was built by sig arms and has all the sig markings on the wood.

Thanks, This is my #4 k-31. I was worried that i would never stop buying them, but 4 is the magic number, and i believe this is my favorite. They all have so much character.
