Trader Rating: (1) | Choices, Choices, Choices... If you could get both a standard SA M1A AND a 1903a3 Springfield with plenty of ammo for both OR a 1918a3 Semi Auto BAR from Ohio Ordnance Works with no ammo, which would you choose? Curious for several reasons, one of which is the fact that I will be coming into a little money in September and and not sure which way to go... I might go niether way, but this is what I have been thinking on all day now! These will probably be my last purchases in a long while since the wife is getting ready to move down here and she is always on me as to how much I spend on guns, blah, blah, blah... hahaha! Anyway, what do you think? Which options would you go for and why? |

Wow... see I had been all prepared to talk myself into the BAR but hell if yall think the first Spring'er twins as well, then that just made it a little easier on me! Any other opinions? |

Trader Rating: (0) | bar dude~! my reasoning is the BAR is quite an outlay of cash up front. i would be able to afford the other two one at a time later on.

| Military Rifle Collector ![]() | Already have the first two so I would get the BAR. If I didnt have them Id get them first. Very fun to shoot.

| Super Moderator ![]() | As a shooter...The BAR would do. The beauty was the full auto firepower ! You might well Buy a Belt fed Browning 1919A4 for 1200 in Semi auto...

| Senior Member | Yeah, but you don't have to lug the BAR around in the brush all day. As far as don't get the BAR because it "is not original" - Just what the hell do you think the M1A is?????????????????? I agree with who ever said BAR and then you can get the other two one at a time later on. In that case the first of the other 2 I'd get would be the 03A3. Yes, the semi BAR functions just like the original. I know a couple of guys that have them and they are very happy with them. The rate of fire on the semi is probably very similar to - Perhaps? higher than the low cyclic rate of 350+ on the original. Sarge

| Senior Member | Big guys don't mind the extra weight of a BAR...being able to fire lots of 30-06 rounds is a wonderful thing The BAR is more of a SHTF weapon though...I'd go with the first two for practicality. |
