| I like them...dont rust thats for sure...easy to clean (but a royal pain if you want to feild strip)...the 45s I have work great will almost any ammo...wolf ammo gave me 2 failure to eject out of 100 rounds...shoots hollow points, lead reloads nad of course factory ammo....the new polymers are "less" ugly and more glock looking..but still ugly as heck...I think the quality is great!...never had or found any problems with them...even if you go box to range with no oil/cleaning they work! The are heavy...the aloy they use is bulky...blow back operated...only moveing part in the top part is the slide and fireing pin...so nothing to go wrong....the warrenty is great..heck Imessed up the carbine stock and they still sent me one for free. Now compare this to my Ruger super redhawk..peice of junk!!!! $650 for the 454 and Handloading magazine just mintioned that there is a long running defect in them that make shell caseings stick...I mean pressing the ejector on a table to get the empties out, stuck...and they are still leaveing the factory that way..THAT IS UNACCPETABLE!!!!!!!! |

| if they don't rust then why would a little high humidity stop you??? think of the added fun, pretending to be a soldier in the monsoons!!! be cool if after the AWB goes away Hi-Point comes out with a tactical version in .45acp, using say 40 rd magazines!!! |

| Senior Member | i did have one problem with the gun well i think it's the clip and not the gun it won't cycle with 8 rounds in the clip but it will with 7 rounds .i think it's just becaise of the new spring in the clip because it's the toughest clip i ever loaded. i think it will give with time .i'm not really worried about just having 7 rounds in the clip being i only plan on target shooting with it anyway.and besides that it has a lifetime warranty .i can get a new one if it doesn't get better. i emailed mks today but no response yet .so what do you guy's think ??? clip ??? or gun??? |
