Thumbs down Hi-Points Response to 1911 Mags for the 45acp

Bummer dudes...here is the cut/past of their e-mail

Mkshpoint@aol.com

Bob,

Sorry no can do. We want to keep the ctg feed our own warrenty problems, if they come up. Also there is the problem of after-market mags that may violate the ban on hi capacity ability. (Which to date I don't think there are any out there that will fit.)

Thanks for the additional coverage you gave us by posting my reply to your web page. That may just save my two hunt and peck fingers by answering a lot of potential e-mails.
Thanks again, db/MKS

I think I'm infected by BRG3 . . .

. . . but, the grip is just a hollow plastic bit - wouldn't be hard to do a little upgrading/re-engineering.

Hint - the Maadi Cadet magazine <almost> fits the 9mm Carbine.
Unfortunately, it's only a single-stack eight-rounder - no advantage in using it. But, ah - the possibilities . . .

I'm trying to think of a polite way to tell them that they are idiots with no brains. I guess redundancy is all I can use.
There is no law against using mags made before the ban in guns made after the ban. If that were the case, say goodbye to hi caps in post ban ARs, AKs, G3s, FALs, and such. In the meantime people will buy products by Kel-Tec who actually knows the laws and makes their products as capable as possible.

The only thing I could possibly find any reason in is that if other peoples' mags don't feed correctly, we would find less Doglipses praising them up and down, and for reasons that are not their fault.

But yeah, I too thought it might not be so hard to adapt 1911 mags for the carbine, or the carbine for 1911 mags.

I know these things are fun and all but we call them mud puppies at the shop because they are so dang ugly. We do sell a lot of them due to their cost though.
but when the 45 comes out even i will have to get a mud puppy.
