Pistol Caliber Carbine: CA legal?

Hey guys,
I've been looking around and can't seem to find any pistol caliber carbines that are legal in California. Preferably semi-auto in 9MM.

I'd like one of those High Point 9mm carbines, but I don't think they are legal due to the pistol grip.

Any ideas or where I might look? Thanks,
Russ

Perhaps the Beretta CX4 Storm, since it's a thumbhole stock, I believe that gets around the pistol-grip legality. It uses PX4 Storm and FS-92 mags, I think.

cx4storm beretta - semiautomatic carbine

Try a Marlin Camp 9 (9mm) or Camp 45 (.45 ACP) or Ruger's PC 9 (9mm) or PC 4 (.40 cal.) or the Ruger Deerfield in .44 Magnum. None of these have pistol grip stocks. I have a Camp 9 that shoots great and have shot a friend's .44 Mag Ruger and loved it. The Marlin 9mm uses Smith & Wesson 59 series 15 rd. magazines and the Ruger 9mm uses Ruger P-series 15 rd. mags

"Pistol grip" and "Telescoping Stock".... Do you really think he'll get that into CA and hold onto it without getting arrested?
