| I am looking into a .40 S&W Carbine. I already own a Taurus 24/7 PRO .40 S&W and I like the stopping power of the round. I am looking to use this for target shooting and as a secondary home defense weapon (primarily for wild animals that bother our animals on the farm). I am in the midwest, therefore I am not looking to be able to drop a bear, but I need to be able to pick off a coyote if need be. I am also curious to the reliability of this carbine. How does the .40 S&W handle in a rifle. Does the Cx4 prefer JHP or FMJ....does it hold up well to bird shot/snake shot (Blazer carries them if you've never heard of them...it's like a small shot gun round for your pistol). Pros? Cons? General comment relating to the Cx4 in any of it's 3 calibers? Comparison to other Carbines? Value vs. Cost? Tear down and cleaning? How does it shoot? You get the idea. |

| Owned a CX4 9mm. Accurite, reliable with fmj, never tried hp or shot shells. For the money I would rather have an Uzi.

| Beretta is great!! Just a little pricey for my tastes. My Hi-Point will shoot the heart out of a bullseye at 40yds ![]() ***************************************************** All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing |

| I currently own a CX4 in 9mm and couldnt be happier with it. Great on the shoulder, accurate, and low recoil. Ive been able to hit a standard brick with FMJ out to about 125yrds. yea its expensive but you get what you pay for, its a great gun to just toss in the gunrack to have when you need it on the farm. Ive run 300rds of HP through it at the range without any problems. my advice would be to get the CX4, you wont be disappointed in anyway. |

| I own a CX4 9mm Storm, It is extremely reliable and accurate! When I bout it, it came with a speeddot scope but I took it off. Don't need it. It works great on small predator's like coyote and fox. I killed a coyote at about 75 yards open sited with two easy shots to the body, my property is mildly wooded and the 9mm cuts thru varry well. This weapon is my favorite out of all the guns I've ever owned! |

| I owned a C-4 Storm,9mm. I now own an Uzi. Let me tell you why. 1. Storm is lighter but more delicate, steel vs plastic. 2.Uzi has grip safety,Storm Doesn't. 3.Uzi has choice of folding stock,or fixed wood or plastic stck,Storm Doesn't 4. Uzi can be taken down/reassembled without tools in seconds,Storm Can't. 5.Uzi can be changed to multiple calibers easily,Storm can't. 6.Uzi has a great variety of mags/capacities,Storm doesn.t. 7.Uzi can be changed from carbine to pistol/short barreled rifle easily. 8.Uzi can be converted to select fire if owner wants to do so legally. 9.Uzi appreciates in value,Storm doesn't. 10. Last but not least, the Uzi looks bad,and I like it. Still, the Storm IS a nice carbine,I liked mine. ![]()

| I bought a new Cx4 about a month ago. It's a 9mm and uses 92FS magazines. This includes the 17rd. mags that come with the 92two and the 20rd. units made for carbine use. It appears to eat just about anything including that aluminum-cased crap and hollow points. Word on the street is that it is exceptionally accurate, but I am waiting for spring thaw to bring it to the rifle range. Mine came with a top rail and I put a holographic sight on it. Factory sights include a moveable front post and a choice of close or distant rear peep-holes. There are enough places for rail mounts on the stock, including one that extends under the muzzle, to add just about any kind of aiming accessory. Disassembly is pretty simple and can be done without tools into three main sections and one small part. The stock is polymer like many hand guns. I wouldn't exactly call it delicate. The receiver, bolt and barrel are steel, of course. The barrel is chrome-lined. Recoil is blow-back and not the P-38 type lock-up on the 92. What is cool is that one gets another few hundred feet per second with a carbine barrel. It is about as heavy as my Marlin 0.357 mag. carbine but much more ergonomic. It can be slung either the usual way or on the side. Can't say how it compares to Uzi, Highpoint or Ruger for that matter. I went with Beretta because I wanted it to compliment my 92FS and 90two. |
