Thompson gun

I was on my way the gun shop to look at AK's and stopped at an estate sale. I was not in the market for this, but it was half of retail, as new, unfired, couldn't pass it up. This sucker is heavy, 13 lbs, unloaded, put a 50rd drum on it and you can get a hernia. I have a stock pile of acp for the two pistols I own in that caliber, this well eat it in minutes. I guess the AK well have to wait.

You did Good !!! Your signiture needs a little correcting though.
It should read... Young White Farts love preparing for the zombie apocalypse.

Old White Farts don't give a chit about zombies ! All we care about is remembering how to load all our guns, still being able to shoot straight, a good night sleep and last but not least a good BM in the morning !!! ...A.H

If it's made by Auto-Ordnance or Kahr Arms and semi auto only, they sell new for $1000-1200, stick mags are $70 and drums can be as much as $600. Old drums can be twice that. Your photo it looks like a semi auto Kahr, used it should bring $700-$800 plus accessories.
If it's full auto and transferable it could bring $12,000 to 35,000. Yes, that's three zeros past the coma. If it an oldie I can refer you to a guy that appraises them.

The gun has on it.....

Thompsom Semi Auto Carbine
Model of 1927 AI
.45 Automic Cartridge
Auto Ordnance
#KA0023

I have a drum for it like the one you have pictured and another funny looking double looking drum thingie.....I'm really not sure which mags go with which guns there are so many mags. I think it's for the Thompson gun anyway. Oh ! it's quite heavy too.

Thanks for the tid bit of info

Beth

Sounds like a nice tommy gun. That gun with a single 30rd stick mag and a carry case should bring $800-1000 if it is in very good condition, especially if it's a proven good shooter. Some of the newer Kahr's have problems and need a bit of work. The drums can be 10, 50 or 100 round (there are others) Depending if the are USA or import determines the value.
Here's a good link for mag info. I think these well go up in value in the next few years.

Good thing you're not close to Denver, Beth! I have the cash in-hand and I wouldn't mind having one of those. But I'd probably have to use it on my wife to shut her up about it. I can hide my pistol purchases, but that's a little too big to hide.
