Looming to buy hi-point 9mm Guys I have been wanting to buy the hi-point 9mm for a while now. I shot one a while back and liked it. I hate the look of it but if I do purchase one I will def change the stock to that ati stock. Any way, I went to the local indoor range and they had one for rent. I tried it but the safty was extremely hard to switch and the bolt kept jamming. Every other shot I had to push it forward enough so i could shoot another round. So before I go buying the beretta cx4 storm, is this common with the hi-point, or is this just lack of maintnance and due to the fact that the gun has an est 10,000 rounds through it, as per the gun shop guy.

I met a dealer who bought a Storm at a gunshow. He said that he wished he purchased a HP and could have had basically the same weapon. He liked the looks of the Storm better but I like the functionallity of the HP. I am interested in a 40 HP and also like the Keltec sub 2000. I could match my glock magazines with it. I have 3 HPs (9 carbine, c9 and jhp45), I am satisfied with the way they shoot They keep giving and giving.

No problems with my Hi Point 9mil carbine. Yes, they are ugly little buggers but if maintained, I have found them very dependable and a whole lot of fun. You can dress it up and still get off for a reasonable price compared to a Storm Cost of dressing up mine: ATI stock -- ebay + shipping $60.00 Barrel Shroud -- Moerse Lekker Sales + ship 46.00 Tasco ProPoint 1x32 5 MOA Red Dot on sale for $110.00 at a local sporting goods store. A fun gun even with out the dressing. The better half likes shooting mine so much I am looking for another one for her, then she can get on the fun of buying ammo for it.... ![]() ***************************************************** All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing

Finally bought my hi point cabine. I am pretty excited and happy with my decision. Did alot of research and seems to be just what I was looking for. Cheap gun to shott at the indoor range during the winter months, cheap to upgrade and an excellent warranty.

| I've never known any Hi-Point Carbine owners to have sticky safeties. Mine moves smoothly. I think that one must've been heavily gunked up and they don't want to strip it to clean (a real PITA). Usually, a good spray-out with gun cleaner works well.

I got a Hi-Point in trade a few years back. It sat in my rack for well over a year. I was worried that if I took it to the range my buddies would laugh at me. I ended up bringing it out and we all had a ball with it. No recoil, cheap to shoot, accurate and fun.

Just a little update guys. I bought the Hi point and put on the ati stock. I am very happy with the gun, lots of fun. Maybe the Beretta is a better gun but I am happy for now, and for a quarter the price.
