Hi Point 4095 Most bubba'd gun I ever saw

I just bought the most bubba'd gun I have ever seen. It is the 4095 but the stock has been broken off in the wrist area and a Daisy BB gun stock has been fitted and held in place with black electrical tape. The modification results in a 21.5 inch pull. Also, I guess, Bubba didn't like the sights because the rear is missing and a laser has been affixed where the sight should be and also mounted with the aforementioned black tape. I called Hi Point before I bought it and they said send it in and they will take care of it and send it back like new. Do they really do that? I mean this gun has really been abused and they will fix it for free? Can anyone tell me the aproximate turn around time with Hi Point? Thanks for any input, David

I have heard of hi point being very good about their warranty. I also think someone stating a 10 day turn around time to repair a gun.

I've heard very good things of Hi-Point's customer service. I figure, they want you to have a good safe product too - not a bubba'd POS that might result in legal hitches. They want you safe, as well as their reputation - so a new stock is a small price to pay.

Thanks for the input Noshot. I bought the 4095 to go with my .40 S&W handgun and if they will fix it free I will have saved about $150 off the price of a new one in this area. Its funny that the suggested retail is $242 but here they are going for $275-$300. I guess that they are really popular around here. Thanks again

Bubba really done somethin' to that 4095. He really am fond of that ol' electrical tape, ain't he? He really do think it'll cure any ill, don't he? Only reason he din't use duck tape was it be gray and not black!

Jesus, Mary and Joseph. I wouldn't dream of putting a round into that kludge without it was completely re-stocked. It simply doesn't look safe to me. From the picture it also looks like he tried to case-color the receiver, but that may just be flash reflection.

Hi-Point has the rep for fixing anything that goes wrong with any firearm they make for free; but this is definitely pushing the envelope. Still, even if they charge you fifty bucks for a new stock you'll come out ahead because I have no doubt they will detail-strip it to see if Bubba decided he'd try and get inventive, like maybe seeing if he can make it into a full-auto or something equally insane. It will come back to you freshly tuned and ready to play.

One suggestion: go to your gun shop or to the Hi-Point website and get youself a compensator for the 4095. The folks at Gun Tests say it does wonders for reducing muzzle blast and felt recoil, and makes the 4095 a lot of fun to shoot. I know the compensator smooths out the 995; I don't have a 4095.

Waltham is that you from HPFF? That is what I have heard is that it will be like new. I haven't sent it in yet but I did also buy a 995 about a week ago. Will be sending it in this week.

ok so i know hi points are very cheap....i have had chances to pick them up of course, they are quite common around here dont know about everywhere else? the problem is the only good thing i have ever heard about them is the warranty? i hear the guns are nothing but trouble for the most part? anyone verify this? i do like the sound of the warranty though. I was told when i thought about buying one to buy it send it in without the mag and they will send it back with 2 new mags and a good tuning? obviously a great warranty.

WOW, bubba messed that Hi Point up! Sell33, I've owned a HP carbine for years now, NEVER had any trouble from it. Fairly accurate too. A friend of mine has owned a HP C-9 pistol for several years and never had any problems out it. Good weapons in my opinion.

I'd leave it the way it is, it's a masterpiece. Why did you take the laser sight off? I thought using electrical tape to secure it was inspired. You should decorate it with a plastic Halloween skull on the taped stock, that'd look classy.
