Scoped AR = FUN!!!

Yesterday it was raining and for giggles and grins, I put a scope on my AR that I had lying around. Nothing fancy, just a BSA 6-18X40 that I had taken off a 17 HMR a while back. I've been curious to shoot an AR with a scope to see how I liked it. I was pretty impressed with the results. I'm not much of a longer range rifle shooter (we do more pistol and rifle combat type stuff) but I had fun.

It started out a little rough:

But got better:

This was my best group of the day:

Shooting at 100 yards off a pack.

The ammo is Lake City ball ammo. I don't know much more than that as I am not very good at deciphering headstamps on milsurp ammo. It's what we use at work for rifle practice. It seems to shoot pretty well.

The rifle is a RRA Elite with a two stage match trigger and the 16" HBar. I've been toying with the idea of swapping out barrels to pencil barrel for the weight factor. That thing can get heavy by the end of the day.
