This was on my local news at noon.....probly should go in humor form....but I think Florida is getting weirder each day.

Police ask for help in finding stolen alligators

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Police are asking the public's help today in finding five stolen alligators, which were snatched from a moat around a miniature golf course.

The young alligators, each about 3 to 4 feet long, were stolen from Congo River Golf and Exploration Co. in December. Clearwater police asked the public for help on Tuesday.

Investigators want to talk to a young man caught on a surveillance tape the day of the theft. He was carrying a bag and walking back and forth in front of Alligator Isle, a caged section of the moat sponsored by the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.

Two juvenile alligators were stolen in a similar incident in May 2001, said Timothy Gervan, the attraction's general manager.

Police said the motive for taking the alligators remains a mystery.

"They're too small to harvest for either food or for their skin," said Detective Joe Ruhlin.

In October, a tourist was charged with capturing a live alligator at a miniature golf course in Daytona Beach and bringing it back to his hotel.

Derrick Dale Cooper, 22, of North Carolina, was charged with animal poaching and petty theft for taking the 3-foot alligator.

Y'all heard the one about the two Cajuns who go to town, and have their first taste of chicken at KFC? One says to the other - "Hey Beudreaux, this here chicken tastes just like gator!"

na!! gator taste better. you ever eat them white egrets are cranes as some people call them?? boy put them on the grill and
man das sum good eatin man let me tell you !!!! like they say about our southern zoo's along side of the desrciption of the animal there is also a recipe.lol
