How Does The Democratic Party Keep Producing People Like This?: You know, I just do not understand how a United States Congresswoman can be so incredibly ignorant that she would compare Osama Bin Laden to the Founding Fathers. It just boggles the mind that U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D., Toledo) said something like this...

"When America "cast off monarchical Britain" in 1776, it involved the help of many religious people who had fled repression in other countries, the 11-term Toledo congressman said. Among the nontraditional American revolutionaries were the Green Mountain Boys, a patriot militia organized in 1770 in Bennington, Vt., to confront British forces, she said.

"One could say that Osama bin Laden and these non-nation-state fighters with religious purpose are very similar to those kind of atypical revolutionaries that helped to cast off the British crown," Miss Kaptur said."

Yes, you read that correctly. She is saying that Osama Bin Laden is "very similar" to people who fought to free our country from the British -- people like George Washington, John Adams, James Madison, Ben Franklin, John Hancock, Patrick Henry, John Paul Jones & Thomas Jefferson.

That is a repulsive and sickening statement for anyone to make and the fact that a congresswoman would say it is reprehensible. If you want to know why so many people don't believe the Democrats can be trusted to defend our country, you only have to look at statements just like this one and the anemic reactions to them by other Democrats to see exactly why.

I found I must take the time to respond to your comments compairing our Nations founding fathers to Osama Bin Laden reprehensible at best. How can you possibly twist the facts to arrive at viewpoint? It is pure fantasy on your part. The copmparison is not even remotely valid.

Our founding fathers did do exactly as you said they did. They escaped a system of government that persicuted them for their religious beliefs.

Osama Bin Laden is a polar opposite! He is not escapiong an opressive government, nor is he escaping a country frought with religious opression.

Bin Laden is a terrorist that would think nothing of having someone blow up a building (remember 911?) or a bus full of innocent citizens.

The founding fathers did not kill thousands of innocent people and then flee when that country came to attack.

I feel you need to re read a 3rd grade history book.

I heard about the statement you made about the Founding Fathers of this great country, and the despicable comparison you made to Osama Bin Laden.
First, I will let you know that I demand a public apology for this statement. The comparison you made was totally outside the realm of reality. Our nation was founded by people (men AND women) who desired to free a nation of government extorsion and control. Osama is doing just the opposite. He controls people with murder, kidnappings, and extortion. Women aren't allowed to even speak in public, let alone have any freedoms you enjoy on a daily basis. How can you honestly believe he is of the same cloth as the Founding Fathers?
Secondly, you have a track record that is as unimpressive as can be. I am not sure how you managed to be re-elected, but am sure that this statement will probably help your opponents chances next election. You have been proven to vote for whatever benefits you, and you only. When it comes to issues that really affect your constituents, you have let them down consitently. You coddle criminals while punishing the innocent victims, and it's time for a change. In case you haven't noticed, the people of this great country have had it with incompetent people in charge, which is why the Republicans are at the helm. Or, haven't you figured out that the people you are supposed to serve have elected them?
Lastly, just let me tell you that this comment really shows your ignorance. If you were my representative, I'd say you were making treasonous remarks, at best, and demand that you be removed from office. I feel sorry for the people in your district who didn't vote for you. And, to the ones who did vote for you, I hope they don't have problems sleeping at night knowing they put a totally incompetent person in charge of voicing their opinion.

When I worked at Jeep she was at my gate shaking hands. When I got off work at 4pm she was still there with the Union goons and tryed to shake my hand. I just looked at her hand and kept walking.
