I paid near $100 for my R-700 Short Action left handed 20 MOA base. Shooting the .308 further than about 600 yards requires it depending on the scope elevation aviab. Look closely and you can see the taper the mount provides. I've really tricked out this .308, it's just a pleasure to shoot. I'd love to attend one of (GOT COFFEE)'s prairie dog hunts in a few years when my son is old enough for it.
