I have a Titanium Taurus .357 Snubby that I love. Very light, accurate and dependable. I mostly shoot .38's out of it during range play but keep it loaded with .357 Magnum's. I will shoot a couple of boxes of .357's a year at the range just to keep in practice. The .357's can be tough on the hand but not as tough as it will be for the person on the receiving end.
For a pocket gun I prefer my Kel-Tec P3AT due to size but since you mentioned "Revolver" I will say I'm very happy with that little Taurus.
There are some Smith and some Colt models that were specifically intended for such carry purposes. Some are alloy, some are steel, some are blue, some are stainless, some have exposed hammers, some shielded, some "hammerless". Check the shows. Look for Chief's specials, airweights, ladysmiths, detective specials, etc.

and all those usually cost more than they should honestly
hell, a colt detectives special is the finest firearm you can own if ya ask me, but
I've shot a S&W "airweight" in 38 special. it was ok. had a good snap like all lightweight guns. Myself I'd say your best bet is to make a trip to the gunshop and see what feels good to you.
I have and old F.I.E. stainless 32 S&W long. It is a clone of the S&W J frame. Not the best caliber for self defence, but it is small and light enough to pack in the pocket.

For a lightwieght pocket gun the Taurus and Smith & Wesson in Titanium/Scandium are the best, though I haven't tried the Ruger LCR yet. One word to describe how it feels when you shoot... OUCH! but if your life is on the line you probably won't notice it. I'd like to check out an LCR though.

I found the 5 shot revolver to be okay for pocket carry but that in jeans a 5 shot revolver prints way more othan I would like. I have a Taurus Model 85 Ultra-lite in .38 special. I like the gun but I don't like it for pants pocket carry. I do carry it in my coat pocket in the winter or keep it in a car from time to time. With the right dress a 5 shot will hide nicely but not for the way I dress most of the time.
On the other hand I have found the slim profile and small size of the LCP .380 (and others like it I am sure) fit very well in my pants pocket and looks like walet or electronic gadget. Very un-noticable. When I first got it I would play..."look at my new gun!" with some of my gun buddies and they all where suprised when I pulled it out of my pocket....none of them knew I was carrying and they are the kind of guys that look for that sort of thing.

This may sound strange but I like my old Lemon squeezer in 38 s&w its a 5 shot revolver with a grip safety. The main drawback is hard to find ammo and not a powerful round but its easy to pocket and shoot.
