Soldier overseas? You don't get to vote.

They are sending out voter cards late that doesn't give them enough time to get it back to vote in the elections. This is so wrong. A Free Press for a Free People second article right under Tancredo's call for impeachment, which is way past due.

Who are "They"? My absentee ballot comes from my County election office back home.

I got mine in on time... Little good that did after John threw the election by choosing a pretty face over a solid running mate.. Yes, Rudy and John would have been a powerhouse.

Trying to keep the military vote out of the equation has been a democrat and liberal ploy for a very long time. In the military, voting runs very predictably, with about 80% guaranteed to vote for the conservative candidate. Both Al Gore AND John Kerry tried to disallow the military vote in one way or another during their election runs.

I've felt that way, for a long time, but now that you made the statement, someone will want you to back it up with something other than opinion. I guess our gut feelings aren't good enough! LOL! Yes, the military voters do seem to lean toward the conservative end of the spectrum....

This is not news. The liberal Democrats have long tried to stop military absentee ballots from being counted, because they know almost all of the folks in the military vote either Republican or at best for DINOs who are a lot closer to the conservative way of thinking on most critical issues than they are to the liberal nutjob Democrats. In towns or counties where the Democrats are in control, they 'accidentally' fail to mail out the absentee ballots with sufficient time to allow them to get out and back. They'll conveniently 'forget' to open the absentee ballots for tallying and then claim the ballots 'arrived late' even if they arrived in time. They'll claim the ballots 'arrived damaged' and therefore can't be counted. They'll claim the ballots 'weren't properly filled out' and therefore are damaged and can't be counted. Etcetera.

Sooner or later the US military is going to have to come up with a secure server using 512-bit encryption on which soldiers can vote in state and Federal elections using virtual ballots. I can just hear the civil libertarians over at the ACLU screaming about that and citing Man of the Year as to why America must not do it. But such a system would stop the liberal leftists from their ongoing de facto disenfranchising of the armed forces. Just because most military personnel tend to be conservatives does not give the liberals the right to stop their votes from being counted.
