Calling The Daily Show "the liberal media" is really stretching a point, petrol. Even though something like 40% of people in a survey before the last general election in America indicated that they got their news from The Daily Show, it's a flippin' comedy program!
They are not a news-gathering and reporting organization. They aren't the Beeb. They aren't 60 Minutes. They aren't even the "Live at Five" news report you can find in most major American cities, for heaven's sake!
Mind you, I'm not disagreeing with Jon Stewart even a little bit. At least he has the courage (and his producers and his network have the guts) to point out the hypocrisy of the Empty Suit from Illinois and all his works. That puts him (and them) ahead of NBC, CBS, ABC and NPR, which are 'real' news organizations. Unfortunately, those networks are notorious for their purveying doublplusgood duckspeak to the American people; so perhaps I'm being just a little hard on Jon Stewart here. Perhaps.
